Elysa Chen
Elysa Chen began her career as a crime reporter with Singapore Press Holdings, where her experiences shaped her deep commitment to supporting children. Driven by a vision that every child in Singapore deserves a safe, nurturing home and the best chance to succeed, Elysa has devoted her efforts to building stronger families and a brighter future for all.
She later transitioned into the teaching profession, serving as a lecturer at Hwa Chong Institution, and began volunteering as a tutor to further invest in the lives of young people. In 2018, she took on the role of Executive Director at CampusImpact, where she continues to work towards her mission of creating a strong, supportive society.
Since 2020, Elysa has served as a district councillor with the North West Community Development Council, advocating for policies that support those who need it most and ensuring that no one falls through the cracks. Her hands-on experience in the community has informed her approach to creating real, tangible change.
As a member of Punggol Coast’s Citizen’s Consultative Committee, Elysa has worked tirelessly to foster strong family bonds and enhance the sense of community.
Elysa is a proud wife and mother to a young son, and her family is the driving force behind her passion to build a better Singapore for all.
